The statistics behind everything on this site, and who they belong to.

Basketball Reference

VISIT
  • •Career and season statistics for every player in the all-time basketball simulator.
  • •League averages season by season - pace, scoring, shooting and rebounds - which is what lets us compare a 1962 player with a 2026 one instead of reading their raw averages side by side.
  • •Box Plus/Minus and its offensive and defensive halves, for the eras that have it.

NBA 2K

  • •All-time player overall ratings, used as a secondary check and never as the primary input.
  • •2K's all-time ratings sit in a narrow band at the top, with many of the greatest players separated by a point or two, so they cannot carry a simulator on their own. We use them to sanity-check our own ratings and to help where the statistical record is thin.

Major League Baseball

  • •MLB's public statistics service: schedules, probable starters, published batting orders and box scores.
  • •Feeds both the daily baseball game cards and the current-teams baseball simulator.

National Hockey League

  • •The NHL's public statistics service: team, goaltender and skater results across the current and previous season.

WHAT IS OURS

The Power Index ratings, the prices, the projections, the player ratings inside the simulators and every simulated result are Megasports Arena’s own work. They are derived from the statistics above, but the methods and the numbers they produce are ours, and no source listed here is responsible for them.

We publish our own derived ratings, not anyone else’s tables. Where a figure belongs to a source, it is shown as that source’s figure.

The simulators are for entertainment. They are built separately from the Power Index and will often disagree with it. That is deliberate — either one can be the smarter read on a given game, and you get to decide which.

None of the organizations listed above are affiliated with Megasports Arena or endorse it. League, team and player names are used for identification only.
